Dr. Priscilla Falcon

Dr. Priscilla Falcon’s family roots are in northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado which has a been a crucible of struggle over centuries. Priscilla became an early member of the United Mexican American Students, UMAS where she joined others in advocating educational opportunities of Chicanx students. In 1972 Dr. Falcon’s partner Ricardo Falcon was assassinated in Orogrande, N.M. by a member of George Wallace’s American Independent Party. Dr. Falcon has engaged in political organizing over the past 51 years on issues such as youth advocacy & education, traveling to liberated zones of the EZLN-Zapatista revolution, staffing the Ricardo Falcon and Al Frente Center since 1995 and engaging in community campaigns against Immigration, Customs and Enforcement ICE in Greeley and Weld county.
